What Can You Do? ...begins with YOU

  • Educate Yourself - take workshops, join organizations, read books, talk with your friends and be curious about what is possible!
  • Become Inspired – Transform your heart- mind from despair to possibility; overcoming the fearful mentality that is becoming the norm for our daily life and the life of our democracy.
  • Create Community – begin conversations, share your ideas, inspire and support each other, have fun together!  Community is the best antidote to alienation and powerlessness.
  • Take Action - Participate in rallies, letter-writing campaigns and boycotts.  Write to your elected officials.  Let your voice be heard.
  • Build Sustainable Institutions - that will seed a positive future with food co-operatives, time banks, and good neighborhood schools.
Remember the 3 R's -- Reduce, Recycle and Reuse
Use your time, energy and resources
to work with others in bringing forth
a shared vision of a sustainable and healthy world.

What is a Conversation Circle?

It is an opportunity for people to come together to share ideas in a safe environment – where all ideas are respected and all people have the chance to speak.

The key is curiosity – in exploring each others' ideas and thoughts.

Conversation Circles allow us to reach across political, social, racial and ethnic boundaries as we embody through speech our desire to connect with others and listen to their experiences – which may be very different from our own.

Conversation Circles may be ongoing, with a set group of people; or a “drop in” gathering – where each conversation welcomes new people.

What they hold in common is the desire to learn from each other as we expand our understanding of our shared community and humanity, serving as an antidote to alienation and an opportunity for heartfelt connection.
