There are three important elements that bring forth effective change, she claims;
1 - People share a big idea, a big vision, about how things could be better. This needs to go deep into the heart of the problem.
2 – We need to work together to solve the problems. Although our individual actions are important, it is only by working together that we can create the tipping point to win the big battles. The obstacles may seem insurmountable, but we do have the power of the Internet to help us connect with each other.
3 – We must take action! Making real change takes us all of us. 85% of Americans believe that corporations should have less influence on government. Imagine working together to bring about that change to reclaim our democracy!

So who will bring forth this change? All of us. We need all kinds of people. We need investigators, communicators, teachers, cooks, letter-writers, nurturers, resisters and networkers. We need people with big voices and small voices, and with the heart and the will to engage in the effort.
We need all our unique skills and interests, combined with the efforts of thousands of others to bring forth the changes that are needed.
The path might not be clear. But, as Martin Luther King said, “Faith is taking the first step, even if you don’t see the whole staircase.”
